It’s summa-summa-summatime! Let’s just sit back and unwind… until you get restless and bored and need to find something else to do, lol! If you happen to fall into the later category, or if you have some kids (or yourself!) that need entertaining, I highly suggest the new crafts section at Target, Hand Made Modern. It’s been created by the always inspiring Todd Oldham. You might recall his Kid Made Modern collection a few years ago, and this Hand Made Modern collection basically expands what was started and offers all kinds of pieces for you to choose from to indulge all your crafty DIY inclinations.
In addition to a whole spectrum of high quality paints and brushes, there’s also a bunch of fun coordinated yarns, accessories, and pre-packed kits.
My eyes immediately gravited towards these blank ceramics that were just calling for a fun DIY moment. I took two of the milk jugs and did a super simple paint treatment.
I just masked off different areas and on one, painted it black and added a white spritz/splatter effect with a toothbrush. On the other, just did a quick dry brush with some vivid sunshine yellow paint. A easy decor addition to freshen up your space for summer!
