Happy Mundane is a blog that celebrates the ordinary and the extraordinary, good design of any kind, and takes a moment to appreciate some things that get overlooked in the everyday. “There’s beauty in your dish soap.” Created in 2006, it is also home to the “mundane” musings of the editor, Jonathan Lo.

Jonathan is the principal and founder of J3 Productions – a multidisciplinary design studio + consultancy based in Orange County, California. He is also the editor in chief of The Octopian, an independently published zine, produced by J3, that explores design, lifestyle, and architecture, all with a sci-fi filter.
