The March 2023 edition of Elle Decoration (UK) is totally a keeper. There’s so much design goodyness in this issue and I wanted to highlight two features that really caught my eye.
This editorial called “That new Memphis Magic” was a standout. The introduction paragraph reads “The 1980’s design movement has enjoyed a comeback, with orignals highly south-after- but, for those in the know, now’s the tie to invest in contemporary pieces that take inspiration from the ethos while adding a fresh persepctive.“
I totally agree. For the past, almost… 10? years, there’s been a steady resurgence of appreciation for the 80’s “Memphis-milano” movement. I am clearly a fan, but what really excites me is that it’s evolving and this editorial shows some great examples of what that could look like.
