wall hanging by Jen Kuroki

I’ve been a huge fan of Los Angeles based Jen Kuroki for years. Her ceramics are a perfect blend of playfulness and California cool. They just bring me so much joy every time I see her pieces. I recently got a wall hanging, similar to the one shown above, and she has other items like pots, ornaments, and other home items. Check out her online shop and her Etsy page as they have different items.

Modern Fabric by Abby Gilchrist & Amelia Poole

I don’t think I will ever get tired of getting a look at what inspires artists and makers and seeing how and where they live and create. The new book from Abby Gilchrist and Amelia Poole is another must have for anyone interested in textile design and fiber arts.

Modern Fabric features 25 designers with essays that explore each designer’s life in textiles, from their education, how they started their businesses, and their process and dreams. There’s tons of photos that show their studios, samples, mood boards, and products. Modern Fabric is published by Princeton Architectural Press.

Another LA local ceramicist whose work I love is Eunbi Cho. With work-from-home being the new normal, I think you might as well make your home office fun! This pen holder is both chic as well as functional. Check out more of Eunbi’s work at her website, and find more of her pieces at one of my fav shops, Poketo.
