NYFW Fall/Winter 2017 Round Up

NYFW Fall/Winter 2017 Round Up

The New York Collections for Fall/Winter 2017 just wrapped up this week. I was really excited about observing an overall modern mood happening, and tons of gorgeous color combinations, ideas, and textures to be inspired by. Here are 5 stand outs for me:

1) CALVIN KLEIN

Probably one of the most anticipated collections this season was the Fall/Winter 2017 of CALVIN KLEIN. This marked newly appointed creative director, Raf Simmons’ debut. I love all the nods to 70’s Americana but all translated in a totally forward and modern way.

2) LACOSTE

Lacoste has always been a sporty brand, but they have become so much more than tennis polo shirts and shorts. This collection was set in a futuristic planet-like setting, but the clothes just felt really “sophisticated-sporty.” Yes Please.

3) DELPOZO

There is always a super artistic, minimal, and architectural angle to DELPOZO collections that I just love. They’re also always just plain beautiful. The Fall/Winter 2017 collection had a subtle 60’s space age vibe going on that I’m totally on board with.

4) PROENZA SCHOULER

Oh Proenza Schouler… I just love saying the name “Pro-enza-Skool-er”! I’m also a big fan of the graphic art direction from their recent ad campaigns. Anyway, this collection also had an artistic side to it, with the paint splatters and cut outs, but I really loved all the slice and dicing of the fabrics. It gave a cool edge to everything.

5) SIES MARJAN

Sies Marjan is a relatively new brand. The Fall/Winter 2017 marks only their 3rd collection showing at NYFW. But OMG. one word. COLOR. So many pretty colors. The seafoam backdrop that the show was set in was giving me modern Cinderalla vibes.

Have you looked at any of the F/W 2017 collections? What were your favs? Let’s continue the conversation on Facebook, where I also share other fun shenanigans.
