Last fall, Ikea launched the TRENDIG collection in Europe, and it finally made it’s debut in the States! This little collection (Only about 30 pieces) is really best described as “East Meets West.”
The IKEA designers collaborated with other designers and technicians from both China and Scandinavia and fused design elements from the two cultures to create this fun collection.
I stopped by my local IKEA and was immediately drawn to the bold display. I really love the hits of red, pink, green and yellow that is contrasted with the graphic black and white hits. Then they balanced everything with natural blonde wood and bamboo.
Some of my favorite pieces are the chairs, these vases with the grasshopper and witty abstracted graphic ping pong paddle/ball…
…and this stacked tray/table piece that would be great for entertaining.
Of course the best part about going to IKEA is getting an ice cream/frozen yogurt!
The TRENDIG collection is only made in limited quantities and it’s in stores now. Definitely check out the collection next time you’re in an IKEA!
