Drye Towels and T.I.A.T. Giveaway!

I love towels. Aside from their super cushy soft snuggleness, they’re extremely versatile in so many situations. Of course you have your standard solid whites, but honestly, I feel like towels are another great way to add some color and pattern into not only your bathroom, but kitchen, patio, and even in your car! Back in the 60s, 70s, and 80s, it feels like towels were experiencing a major renaissance. There were all kinds of fun patterns and textures available. Then somewhere along the way, outside of beach towels, it seemed like all you could find were solid colored (at least here in the States).

Luckily there’s been a shift and now I’m seeing more options and fun patterns slowly being available in the marketplace. Ok, so this is Happy Mundane, so you know I’m always on the hunt for bright, fun, and more geometric patterned options. Needless to say I was thrilled to discover the graphic goody-ness of Drye– a new company out of Hackney, in East London (such a clever name for a towel company!).

Their towels are 100% cotton and are woven in the Portuguese countryside, with hand-sewn finish by artisans who have been making the finest towels for over 40 years.

Check out their entire line here.

My favorite design is the “Hunee”. The pastel shapes capped with the graphic bold black and white houndstooth pattern feels fresh and modern.

(Pepé likes it too)

Also, for all you designers- their packaging is so awesome. Minimal and oh so sexy!

One of their newest products is a super fun concept called “Towel in a Tin” (T.I.A.T).

Drye explained the concept of the “Towel in a Tin”:

“We wanted to create a novel gifting experience…one that makes the receiver surprised and delighted and one that makes the giver proud of what they’re gifting 🙂 We love that it’s a novel way to present an every day item, and the tin itself allows much scope for creativity — it can be used as a vase, a secret box, a tea box, the options are infinite ! On instagram we’ll be captioning the TIATs with things like “why give chocolates?”.”

How fun is that?? And such the perfect gift idea for the holidays right?

You can order your TIATs now just in time for the holidays here.

However, as a special gift to YOU- Drye is generously going to allow me to giveaway a TIAT of your very own to FOUR- you read right- not just one- not two- but FOUR of you super awesome Happy Mundane readers, because, well, the fact that you’re reading this blog means you’re super and awesome. So therefore you need a Towel in a Tin.

All you have to do is send me an email (hmgiveaway @ gmail . com) with “I want A Towel in a Tin” in the subject and tell me what city and country you live in. You have one week to do so (Last day to enter is December 1, 2015).

I’ll choose and email the FOUR winners individually. AND- this contest is open to ANY country (woo hoo!). So go on my global Happy Mundane-ers… tell me where you at and you could be styling with your very own TIAT.

Again, check out the other great products that DRYE has, and give them a follow on Instagram (if you like my feed, you’re definitely going to LOVE theirs).
