Whether you’re packing for a trip, doing a quick store run, or just your daily work commute- a good bag (or set of bags) can be a major lifesaver when it comes to keeping everything we need to take with us all contained and organized. I’ve found that even bags within bags can totally give you that extra helping bit of sanity and peace of mind (as opposed to having to dig and eventually dump everything out of your main bag, lol!)

Who is Dermond Peterson? Founded in 2001, sisters Sandra Dermond and Susan Peterson started Dermond Peterson, designing and making home textiles all block-printed by hand. I first met Susan at the NY Gift show many years ago, and it was their bold graphic prints that immediately caught my eye. Anyway, fast forward to now and Dermond Peterson continue to make amazing pieces. This new collection features some great abstract designs in “Randig“, “Collage“, and “Scattered Dots“.
Susan explained to me:
Randig is the Swedish word for stripe. It is part of the Skandia Collection. In a nod toward my Swedish roots, I am interested in evoking rather than directly mimicking mid-century nordic design. This project is on-going and we will be adding a new group of designs this winter. The elements of the Randig design derive from the left-over bits and pieces of earlier designs (Fisk, Sköldpadda and Cirkel) in the collection.
Collage is also a design made of scraps from other, older figurative designs (mostly from the Bumper Crop Collection)
Scattered Dots is another abstract design that has a figurative back-story…. It used to be called “Cranberries”!
They all come in a bunch of beautiful colors as well (there’s a chartreuse green that is a total pop of fun!).
