Well kids, Howdy Ho and Happy Friday! Spring has sprung! This is going to be a lot of amazing things at once. Are you ready? Can you handle it? Sit back and scroll on down…
• Kartell goes Sotsass. If any of you happen to be at the 2015 Salone del Mobile next week, Kartell is having a special tribute to Ettore Sotsass and the Memphis group, debuting a few pieces they created for them. I so wish I could see it in person! Here’s a fun teaser video they just released:
UPDATE: Here’s a video recap of the event!
• On April 19th, Target releases their next major designer collab, this time with legendary queen of preppy pineapple palm tree prints, Lilly Pulitzer! They made this fabulous promo video for it (below) This is one party I would have loved to been at! Can I just live in this word pleeeeze??:
Be sure to check out the mini site they created here.
There’s this really clever section where you can “experience” the party and the screen kind of “rotates”. Be sure to keep side scrolling around the party at least 3 times. Each time you pass a room again, the scenes change. So. much. fun!
• Prada Prada Prada. Y’all know I love me some Prada. I’ve also been loving their film series where they collaborate with film makers for little shorts. (like the ones with Wes Anderson here and here) Anyway, the latest collab is with Autumn de Wilde, and the result is a series of adorable short clips called The Postman Dreams.
Check out the main site for all of them. My favorite is the one with the little kid and his toys. I’ve included three of them below:
• Finally, for any of you that have kids and have been dying to go someplace fun, where you can relax but also do something creative with the family- then please check out Crafting Community’s upcoming event (May 1-3) at the Ace Hotel in Palm Springs. You’ll be in for a weekend of crafts, recreation, workshops for all ages, and old school IRL bonding with other families. Check out all the details here and here.
Have a great weekend everyone! Don’t forget to follow me on Instagram for more #mundaneaesthetic shenanigans
