Ted Baker Fall 14 collection #Pinpointed

Ted Baker Fall 14 collection #Pinpointed

As much as I love the idea of summer not ending, I have to admit, I’m totally over this heatwave that has been melting Southern California the past week! Wardrobe wise, I am soooo ready for Fall!

Luckily, I got a chance to get a head start on the season when the folks at Ted Baker London invited me to participate in their #pinpointed campaign for their Fall 2014 collection.
Ted Baker recently gave their US website a big makeover. To celebrate both the relaunch of the site as well as their new collection, they’ve launched the #pinpointed campaign on Pinterest. Basically you pin your ideal look from their Fall 2014 collection, and if your mad stylin’ skills impress Ted, both you and a friend can win an $800 shopping spree!

For myself, after perusing the collection, these were my must haves:

First, the blazer. One of Ted Baker’s signatures is how much witty (or would it be more “English” to say “cheeky”?) details they put into their clothes. The lining of the chest pocket actually can pull out and double as a pocket square! But the best part is the inside lining. On several of the blazers, they’ve printed a hidden surprise element. In this one, there’s a camera with some flowers! How fun is that?!

If you’ve been following me on Instagram, you know I can’t resist some good color-blocking, and this lightweight sweater was calling my name. It works well on it’s own, but also makes the perfect layering piece.

Underneath that is this great knit polo. The navy ombre/gradation is a jacquard, which means the design is actually knit into the shirt, (as opposed to a dye process) and gives this classic staple a modern edge. (and I really just love the deep oxblood and navy combo -so quintessential Fall right?)

The pants are great because they’re not just basic chinos, but keep the same versatility. They have a light heathered texture that looks like a wool pant, but without the weight, and you can machine wash them too. Love the back pocket tab detail too. The belt is fun, because again, Ted gives it a hidden detail by making it reversible from a light brown to a darker brown.

Finally, I think my most favorite piece out of the collection was this bag/satchel. The navy/teal combo totally stood out to me. It comes with a shoulder strap and also a luggage tag. There’s a cool patterned lining inside and also two compartments with room to fill everything you need. It’s the perfect way to add some pop to your work day.

Ultimately I think this look was totally having me channel some “museum curator” realness right? lol- I’m ready for my opening show at the Tate Modern in London!

P.S. I have to give a big shout out to Katie and the kind folks at Ted Baker London in South Coast Plaza for hooking me up with all the stylistics.

You can check out all my fav pieces from the collection (which will link you directly to the Ted site if you want to shop any of these pieces) on my #pinpointed board here. And while you’re at it- why don’t you create you’re own look (there’s obviously tons of amazing women’s pieces too!) and start a #pinpointed board for yourself. Enter your board to the Ted site and you could actually win that $800 shopping spree for not only you- but also a friend!! (How awesome is that?!)

All the details here. Go. NOW!
