Things Change, So I’ve changed a few things…

Whoa- What is going on with Happy Mundane?! Well… sometimes you just have to change things up!

There’s been a lot going on behind the scenes here of this ol’ blog. So much has happened since I first started blogging over 6 years ago! Fast forward to today and it’s crazy how “social media” has grown and evolved. Now we have Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, and Facebook– Suddenly “blogging” has become only one of several outlets to express yourself on the interwebs.

I’ve also had the pleasure meeting a bunch of amazing people of the past few months- fellow bloggers and pinners, many of which I’ve admired and been following online for years. The conversations with these incredible talents has really inspired me to basically re-think everything. So… I’m starting with the revamping Happy Mundane. Many of the things I used to use this blog for, I now find myself using Twitter, Instagram, or Pinterest instead. This frees up the blog space for other things.

Up until recently, I haven’t really mentioned much about what I do professionally. The fact is, my company, J3 Productions, plays a vital part of my creative voice. For various reasons, I’ve always kept it separate from my blogging. However, it’s become increasingly obvious that I need to start blending the two worlds. What that means for the blog is that I’ll be integrating more elements of what I do at J3. Don’t worry, I’ll still have the usual home goods, DIY projects, good design of any kind, and my mundane musings you’ve come to expect. I’ll just now be exploring them in different ways, including more experimenting, styling, photography and unique content. The only drawback to all of this change is that a lot of my older posts and archives will look a little funny with this new format (but the content is all there and still good!)

We’re still tweaking things so bear with me because there are some glitches that need to be sorted out. Also, commenting has been turned off temporarily, but you can always hit me up on Twitter, Facebook, or email!

Anyway, whether you’ve been following this blog from the beginning, or if you’ve only recently discovered it, thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you’ll stay tuned to all the fun that’s on the way!
