I always look forward to this time of year… not just because it’s Summer, but it’s also when Target releases their “Back to College” collections! I’ve covered them here in the past (it was really good way back when). OK, I know I’m waaaaay past the college years, but to me, it’s always been the most appealing collection. They can get away with more contemporary and trendy styles and they’re also at really affordable prices. However, I have to be honest, the past few year’s collections were a little lack luster. But this year they are back in top form and I am currently obsessing over two themes in particular: “Chevron” and “Geometric”
I actually spotted this Chevron pillow a few weeks ago. It’s hard to tell in the photo but the colored pieces are actually embroidered. I thought that was a nice detail that elevates it from just another boring silk screened pillow. Here’s how they translated the pattern into dinnerware. Love the bamboo servers!
The second collection is their “Geometric” one.
I really love the pillow made of felt triangles, the hand drawn black and white print on the serveware and dinnerware, but out of all of it- the thing that I had to grab right away was this faceted melamine bowl! $9.99?! I also picked up these two mugs.
